First Day

june08-009

june08-010

I completed my first all work shift.
Its so funny how, as a shopper, I know the store's layout, but as a worker, I found myself getting confused.
I still cant believe how much work goes into running a Savers/Value Village.
I was putting tags on clothes for the first three hours. The clothes just kept coming!
That is a good thing, cause time flies when youre busy.

I was done at 2pm, so I decided to take advantage of my discount.
I got a wallet, eye glass case, two purses, two dresses, a one piece shorts jumper, a Japanese cloth (the kind with a scene on it that they hang up in sushi restaurants), and a t-shirt for just over $20!

The t-shirt pictured above is the second one of its kind that I own. My husband and I call each other 'honey' so I had to get it. The first one I bought is smaller and has two holes in it, and this one is bigger and almost new.

On to the next day!

  4. I want to work at a store but not actually deal with customers. I could label/do stocking all day long...

  5. Glad that work is going well for you! Now, what are the rules these days about "putting away" things for yourself? Back in the day my friend worked at VV and there were rules about that. I'm just curious. RULES.

  6. You are not allowed to save or hide items at all! I was feeling sad about that but if you shop right after your shift everything is pretty much still out on the floor.

The discount is sweet. I won't lie.

  9. Yes, I work production. The discount is really nice considering it is a store I do most of my clothing shopping at.
