Doin' it on the Cheap: Plaid

Doin' it on the Cheap is a bi-weekly feature about putting outfits together while on a budget.
There are three blogs involved.

The theme for today is plaid!

Once the weather gets warm I love throwing on one pieces.
They are comfortable and totally something fat girls arent supposed to wear, so I wear them!
I usually have them on for laying on the patio in the sun or laying on the couch with a warm breeze.

This jumper is a bit too small so I need to wear a shirt with it to feel comfortable.
I paired plaid with plaid and I really like the way it looks.

I was planning on doing a little D.I.Y post today but I do not feel like getting all the photos together, etc.

I'm lazy.



This photo pretty much sums it all up.

I really need to get my act together and get a job.
I would like to work at Value Village for now until school, but that will never happen cause they are never hiring.

I think that I'm one of the few people who is not looking forward to the spring summer only because I cannot wear bare legs in public, so I'm forced to wear jeans or tights and always a sweater of some sorts.

If I was living in Arizona it would be a totally different story cause when I was there during the hottest time of the year, I was wearing jeans and a hoodie and was totally comfortable and not sweating at all.

This monday is the next instalment of Doin' it on the Cheap: Plaid!

Right now it's time for lunch and more sewing and lots of scanning.

I dont remember how I found out about this blog, but I'm so glad I did!

This personal style blog follows three sisters and sometimes their mother and father.
They are from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and are fashion designers.

I really like this blog because of their style, mixing high end with thrift, and their inspirations.
Every outfit posted is fully explained and they post links to where their inspiration came from.

I wish I could write more about them, but I'm horrible at writing and explaining myself.

Doin it on the Cheap: Job Interview

Welcome to the second edition of Doin it on the Cheap.
This week Ameila, Gabby and myself will be showing you how we dress for a job interview on a budget.

This is a suit I got at Value Village for $9.99.
I love it because it's super comfortable, the pieces can be worn separate, and the colour!
It comes with the skirt, jacket, and belt.
The shoes are also from Value Village and they were under $5.
I added a thick gold chain that was thrifted for a couple of bucks, and thats it!




I was fooling around with the camera and wanted to see how I would look if I photographed myself jumping, and here are the results. pretty creepy.

i am so excited about this weekend, only because i get to spend all day and night with my husband!
it's supposed to be sunny for the next three days and get up to 12ºC!
i am celebrating by not wearing boots and wearing a tank top.

**i cannot take a good picture of myself just quite yet. i have been extra lucky to have my husband take the photos, but not today. i apologize for me not having a neck in any of these.
